July 22, 2022 – After a year of the POCO M4 Series official release, we are now getting info about its successor. It seems that the POCO M5 Series announcement is imminent. And further details will surface in the incoming days.

According to @xiaomiui, there are two upcoming phones in the lineup: Model number, 22071219CG, and model number, 22071219CI. They will be codenamed “rock” and “stone.” One of the two will support NFC connectivity, while the other one won’t feature it.

Moreover, the 22071219CG appears to be the POCO M5. As a result, it looks that the global variant of the POCO M5 will include NFC capability, while the 22071219CI could be an Indian variant but lacks the feature.

We would also like to add that a device with 2207117BPG was certified by the FCC authority. Based on the listings, it says that the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10S will be the POCO M5S. This is something we are not sure of but leaks from credible sources persist it’s indeed possible.

Also, the listing depicts the storage variants of the device: 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM, and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM. The remaining unspecified specs and features may be the same as the Redmi Note 10S.

Therefore, the POCO M5S, based on the leaks and tips, will arrive with a 6.43-inch AMOLED 1080P resolution display, the MediaTek Helio G95 chip, and a juicy 5,000mAh battery partner with 18W fast charging. We can also expect a 64MP quad-back camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. And this new lineup may be released someday in August.

Pasig, Philippines – July 14, 2022 – POCO Global had just listed an entry-level device on their POCO store on Shopee, which is the POCO C40. Although the device was announced and launched last month in Vietnam, POCO C40 shall be available in PH on July 15.

Based on the listing, the POCO C40 has two variants: 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM priced at ₱6,999 and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM priced at ₱7,999. We speculate that the sale date is on July 15 – simply because of the PayDay Sale of Shopee. Problem is that the device will be on preorder status for 10 days before it will be shipped to the buyer.

The device boasts an ultra-large 6.71″ display for a broader view. While the JLQ JR510 (11 nm) resides in its brain. A 6,000mAh battery juice will take the difference in terms of the efficiency of the chip together with 18W fast charging. At the back, we have a 32MP dual camera and its dot-drop selfie camera offers a 5MP.

We are not sure if POCO will list three color variants, if so, here are the variants: Power Black, Coral Green, and Poco Yellow.

It’s been almost two months since its counterpart Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G (China) was released and later on, leaks came up to inform us that the device will also come to the global market but in a different brand name. Now since the device is available, we have a question – POCO X3 GT has speed or power, what do you think?
