Mi 11 may become the first Chinese smartphone to use Snapdragon 875

According to Digital Chat Station, a very well-known insider of Chinese smartphones, said that Mi 11 may become the first Chinese smartphone to use Snapdragon 875.

In addition, it came to surprise to us that Qualcomm may give an exclusive period. Remember, folks, that exclusive period only means that Xiaomi will be the only company to sell a smartphone with Snapdragon 875 on a given period. This move may help Xiaomi to be on a position to gain more shipments than the other smartphone brands.

Although, this is somehow surprised us, but definitely, we understand the ties between the apple of China and Qualcomm. If we recall, Xiaomi always had the privilege to use Qualcomm’s flagship processor.

Moreover, this contract between Xiaomi and Qualcomm will leave a big question to all of us–consumers. How long will this exclusive period last? Will it last for two months? Will it last for three months? Well, that’s something we can hear for the next couple of months.

We say that we will know it within the next couple of months because it is always that Qualcomm announced their flagship SoCs in December. And then, a company will announced that they’re the first brand to use Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor.

So, if Snapdragon 875 will be announced in December, hence, we can expect Xiaomi to announce or leak Mi 11 to become the first smartphone to use the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm.

Prediction about Snapdragon 875

We expect that the Snapdragon 875 has a size of 5nm and will have Snapdragon X60 modem. Remember, Qualcomm use Snapdragon X50 on Snapdragon 865. So, we can expect a new line of 5G modem with an additional bandwidth.

Lastly, we can also expect a more efficient processor this time, and we can expect an additional boost of performance. The margin of power between Snapdragon 865 and 855 is huge, so we expect the same margin between Snapdragon 875 and 865.

Now we are lucky to have a friend who is in line to cover the story for us at Mi Store Market Market, BGC Taguig. At exactly 10A.M. when the mall doors opened, you can see the difference between runners and non-runners as they overtook each other to secure a number for this special treat.

Two of my friends here secured #7 and #8 and its was really a race, probably they were huffing and puffing upon arriving at the store front.

They were able to secure their spot and will receive their Mi Scooter on Oct 23rd as per staffs inside the store.

Despite the pandemic going on and the social distancing here and there, this even didn’t stopped Mi Fans from all over the metro to participate and try their luck to secure a Mi Scooter for their travel purpose. As well as the flagship level Mi 10T Pro.

Mi 10T Pro is a 5G-ready – dimension, colors, camera

At long last, Xiaomi Philippines finally brings Mi 10T Series here in the Philippines. The pro version, Mi 10T Pro, is a 5G-ready smartphone that will help you get 5G signals and have the best internet speed of your life.

So, what does the pro version of Mi 10T Series has to offer? Well, there’s a lot to talk about the Mi 10T Pro, but let’s focus on its basic features and specs.

Dimension

The Mi 10T Pro has 165.11mm in height, 76.44mm in width, and 9.33m in thickness. Meanwhile, it is weight for 218g, which will help you feel that it is well-made.

Colors Available

There are three colors that you can choose from for the skin of the pro version, the Cosmic Black, Lunar Silver, and Aurora Blue. On our hand, we have the Cosmic Black, which for us, it’s so sleek and glossy at the same time. Of course, that leaves as in awe.

Storage Capacity

There are two variants of Mi 10T Pro, 8GB+128GB. Moreover, the ram is LPDDR5 and its flash storage is 3.1. In my opinion, I consider these chunk of RAMs and storages as an improvement compare to its predecessor.

Battery and charging

Alright, let’s talk about its power capability and capacity. The pro version has massive 5000 mAh with 33W fast charging. And yes, it has a charger brick inside the box. Of course, its USB type is type-C.

Camera

Like the Mi 9T Pro, the Mi 10T Pro has triple camera setup at the back. Its main lens has 108MP elevated by a Samsung HMX. The other two lenses have 13MP for ultra-wide angle shots, and 5MP for macro shots. Although, we thought that the Mi 10T Pro will support 8K video recording at 60fps, but we’re still good to have 4K video recording at 60fps and 8K video recording at 30fps.

In addition, its selfie camera was not thrifted. According to Xiaomi, the selfie camera is ultra-cleared 20MP lens, and elevated by a Samsung S5K3T2 camera sensor. The video recording is not bad, considering it support 1080p at 30fps.

Display

We would like to emphasize this part as the display is its selling point. The Mi 10T Pro has 144Hz refresh rate. Like the POCO X3, the pro version support adaptive sync from 30Hz to 144Hz.

Let me also add, that it has low blue light certified by TÜV Rheinland. Brightness ranges from 500 nits to 650 nits (max). Meanwhile, its display is protected by a Triple Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5. The same protection it has at the back.

Chipset

Its brain is top notch, Snapdragon 865 is present on its motherboard together with an Adreno 650 GPU and Kryo 585. Since we mention that Mi 10T Pro is a 5G-ready, you can expect a X55 modem inside for 5G connectivity.

Price

The Mi 10T Pro is priced at PHP 24,990 for 8GB+256GB.

Great news for Mi Fans who live around the area of Balintawak in Quezon City! Another Mi Kiosk has popped up inside Ayala Mall Cloverleaf and believe me, the design of the kiosk is a bit a breath of fresh air compared to the ones we saw from the other malls.

Shying away from your typical glass display, Xiaomi this time make it more daring! Placing a big backlit banner on each side of the kiosk and showcasing their best sellers on one corner.

I love the minimalist design with the Xiaomi logo on one corner of the kiosk. Now its very accessible to grab your favorite Xiaomi Smartphone and Ecosystem products before you head north via NLEX.
