Capital City Manila, Philippines, September 4, 2021 — We just released a light review of Xiaomi Mix 4. So here, we’re just going to talk about the benchmarks scores on well-known benchmark apps available on Google Play.
Xiaomi Mix 4 is without a doubt a flagship phone. It’s packed with Snapdragon 888+, an overclocked of the standard Snapdragon 888. It’s also the first Xiaomi phone to have the CUP or Camera Under Panel technology. Wherein, selfie cam laid behind the AMOLED display, and it’s not visible if you turned on your phone. However, if you’re going to focus your attention once it’s turned off, you can clearly see the lens behind the display.
These details I laid—will give us an urge to give a high expectation on its performance, especially it is equipped with the latest chip from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888+. And the best way to measure its performance other than the experience of the day-to-day usage is by using benchmark apps. One of the well-known benchmark apps or arguably the best app to check the performance is AnTuTu.
And currently, according to AnTuTu’s list, the powerful smartphone to date is the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro with a score of 830,022, while the least powerful is Xiaomi 11 Ultra with a score of 803,790. All of the devices in the list are equipped with Snapdragon 888.
This is why we were startled when Xiaomi Mix 4 only scores 770,742 on AnTuTu despite of having the latest and currently the most powerful chip in the market. It is behind 60k to that of the Black Shark 4 Pro.
While Xiaomi Mix 4 is a little behind on the AnTuTu benchmark, the device has good scores on the AITUTU benchmark, an app that measures the AI performance of a smartphone, for about 1.132M. Meanwhile, it scored maxed out and 5,788 on Sling Shot Extreme’s OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan. The app tests the full range of API features including multiple render targets, instanced rendering, uniform buffers, and transform feedback. And the phone is expected to get a level 1 on Widevine CDM of DRM info. Lastly, the phone scores 1,161 single-core and 3,347 multi-core on Geekbench.
Xiaomi even rolls out new updates for Xiaomi Mix 4 to improve the performance. We’re hoping that it will lift the performance of Xiaomi Mix 4 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
