In Beijing, China – August 31, 2021 – TENAA, the Chinese certification agency, shows what specs and features of the Xiaomi C11. And heads up, there will be no longer Mi on its name since Xiaomi ditches the Mi branding and opt into Xiaomi. This started on Xiaomi Mix 4.
In addition, the tech company is also skipping the Xiaomi CC10, so there will be no Xiaomi CC10 in the market. To compare this lineup to the previous series, the Mi CC9 is the Chinese version of Mi 9 Lite, while the pro version is the Chinese version of Mi Note 10. Since Mi 11 Lite was already released, and we haven’t heard more about another Xiaomi Note series and Xiaomi CC series, we suspect that the Xiaomi Note 11 series and Mi CC11 series will be identical, too.
Now, let’s look into what Xiaomi C11 is made of according to TENAA. The certification says that the device has a 6.55-inch OLED display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution (that is 20:9) in front. It is worth remembering that previous leaks say that the device will feature a 90Hz refresh rate, however, at this certification in time, there is no evidence yet to support the leaks. Also, the device measures 160.5 x 75.7 x 6.81mm and is relatively lightweight at 157g. This is with a 4,150mAh battery inside (charging speed is unknown).
The certification shows no sign as to what CPU is present in the device, nevertheless, the CPU frequency is 2.4GHz which supports the previous leaks that the CPU will be a Snapdragon 778G or 780G. Moreover, the smartphone will offer different variations, the CC11 will come with 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage. Also, this model has a MicroSD slot that can go up to 1TB, a rare feature at this point in time.
In terms of imaging, the Mi CC11 will feature a 64MP primary main camera as per the TENAA certification. Although the certification hasn’t say about the camera sensor, we suspect it will be a Sony IMX sensor while the pro version may equip with a 108MP and will use a Samsung sensor, a trend Xiaomi always used in their series.
TENAA also notes these features: an IR blaster, no 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G-ready, and will arrive with Android 11. Its skinned OS is still a mystery.
We don’t expect the phone to be released on the new product launch of Xiaomi happening on September 15 since neither announcement nor leaks have surfaced on Weibo and other platforms.
