The Capital of Beijing, China – April 2, 2021 – Xiaomi is known for its AIoT products. They are tycoons when it comes to providing innovative smart home products. This is why it came to no surprise that the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 receives a sleep-breathing function in the new update.
The firmware update allows new users to connect their devices to iOS or Android smartphones. Moreover, Xiaomi is bringing the feature it has announced in the mega launch event on March 29, 2021, sleep-breathing quality function on the Mi Smart Band 6. The sensor they used for monitoring this is SpO2. The same type sensor for measuring blood oxygen levels.
With this feature, users can check the sleeping and breathe in non-REM and REM sleep. The feature is very much important to many users, which don’t get quality sleep because of sleep deprivation and many forms of sleep interventions.
The latest update can be installed if you have Mi Fit 5.0.0 app version. Once you have the version of the app, you can expect this new version of Xiaomi Mi Band 6. Just a disclaimer only, this update is only available in China and India. Users may need some tweaks to make the firmware available.
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 sports a 1.56″ AMOLED touchscreen of 486×152-pixel resolution and 450 nits brightness. It packs a 125 mAh battery that’s claimed to offer 14 days of endurance.
We are yet to hear from Xiaomi Philippines as to when this helpful band will be officially released to the country. Fortunately, we got the price from China for reference. The Mi Smart Band 6 is priced at CNY 230 (PHP 1701.36). In China, you can also opt-in for the NFC variant that costs CNY 280 (PHP 2071.22).
