Beijing-Hong Kong, CHINA – November 30, 2022 – A day before its official release, a clip teaser shows the main sensor camera of the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Pro. Based on the clip, the main camera has a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor, while its telephoto camera will have a 75mm or 3-time magnification.
In the 20-second clip, Xiaomi demonstrated how the new floating telephoto lens would work—It moves the elements closer to achieve infinite focus and take pictures of distant objects—When it needs to take close-ups, which can go up to 10cm, the elements move away. This will be a convenient feat for users who are taking pictures of their subject from far and near. Also, the camera was created with the help of Leica. So, we may expect additional solid photos.
