Washington, D.C., United States – August 5, 2022 – We all know that the Xiaomi Pad 6 Series has been a huge success for the brand. After a break from the phone-tab market due to some losses, the lineup helped the company to make its phone-tab collections worthy to look at. And now, the company seems not to consider slowing down for a bit.
Recently, many leaks and tips have been posted about the Xiaomi Pad 6, however, a listing on the FCC leaves the tech community in baffled. This listing depicts the same specs and features of the rumored Xiaomi Pad 6. But this time, it looks like it will be under Redmi. Which is really—confusing.
Here is the context, Simranpal Singh, a source of leaks on Twitter, tweeted the said listing that depicts the existence of the device. However, as we expected it to be under Xiaomi’s banner, the device’s trademark is Redmi. Yup, we all got caught up in something new this year.
In addition, the FCC listing shows the device has a pre-installed MIUI 13, in contrast to what we expect that it is an MIUI 14. Its 7,800mAh battery will rival OPPO Pad Air’s 7,100mAh battery. The Redmi Pad is also expected to support 5G and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Previously, the tablet was discovered on the CMIIT certification website, where it was listed to support the same connectivity.
The other specifications and features of the Redmi Pad remain unknown. The Redmi Pad is thought to be model number 22081281AC that appeared in the database of the CMIIT and 3C platforms in June. These listings include dual-band WiFi, 67W fast charging, and 5G spectrum. Its predecessor offers a WiFi-only variant. Maybe we can see this type of variant in this series.
Sad to say, no additional information about the Redmi Pad’s specification on the listing. Moreover, we just want to emphasize that the previous Xiaomi Pad 5 features MIUI for pad, a more suitable MIUI version that optimizes the performance of the chip and its apps.
Above all, this tablet is said to slay Realme Pad X 5G. So, let’s all look forward.
