The global technology giant, Xiaomi, open its first Mi Store in Murmansk, a large city located within the Arctic Circle.
Moreover, the store is located in Murmansk Mall. The establishment become one of the most loved shopping venues among local residents. The large 80 square-meter Mi Store gives Xiaomi’s latest lineup of smartphones, AIoTs, and other Xiaomi products.
In addition, under the PPP or Preferred Partner Program, the newly open Mi Store in Murmansk joins a fleet of 151 official points of sale in Russia.

“We are so excited and thankful to our partner for an amazing opportunity to make this dramatic northbound move Xaiomi’s chain of offline stores in Russia now covers 10 time zones, and my heart fills with happiness when I see more and more Mi Fans and consumers get closer to innovations we Provide” said by Yu Man, head of Russia and CIS, Xiaomi.
However, we can see that the geographical location of Murmansk is kind of difficult. The location is proximity to the Barents Sea and the warm air masses delivered by the ocean currents. These circumstances create a mild climate and shape up the world’s northernmost seaport. In addition, the population of Murmansk is approximately 230,000 as of 2020. Which for us is very low compare to Manila, Quezon City, and other cities located in NCR.
On the other hand, based on the latest survey made by Online Market Intelligence, Xiaomi ranks at 7th place on the list for Russia’s Most Loved Brands. This is a huge milestone, although, they placed 8th place last year.
Above all, we are happy to hear that Xiaomi is taking Samsung and Apple in Arctic Circle by placing a Mi Store in there.
