The Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro are probably two of the best value smartphones anywhere in the world right now. Redmi’s Pro model, in particular, is selling at less than $200 for those awesome specifications on the stat sheet.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Pro model won’t be leaving China and India. The news first came via country manager of Thailand Mr. John Chen’s Facebook post.
“As much as I would like to, I regret to inform everyone that Redmi Note 7 Pro will NOT have the official international version releasing to countries other than China and India due to our product strategy,” as stated by Mr. Chen, you can see the complete post below.
This is a marketing move unknown to us as Mr. Chen did not further elaborate on this matter.
With the craze and hype so high after announcing that there will be a Pro version after the Chinese Spring Festival, Mi Fans all over the world waited eagerly untill the final decision during March 18’s Redmi launch.
The Redmi Note 7 is still a very capable phone which can crack open a watermelon as I have personally tested. The Pro version is exactly the same tho it comes with more firepower under its hood. So sad we wont see the global version of this.
