Tiger Sugar Philippines has started in the Philippines opening its very first branch in Bonifacio High Street in Taguig and it was an instant hit! I was one of the curious guy who dropped by the area to take a couple of cups home to test whats the buzz all about.
The line was crazy long Under the heat of the roaring sun
Under the heat of the roaring sun, I waited for 2 hours just to order due to the crazy long line. Probably because it was a Saturday and everyone was not at work and joining the queue. I ordered 2 Brown Sugar Boba Milk and 1 Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse. It took another 15 minutes to process to make sure its fresh, as I was standing outside the kiosk, I saw a crew keep stirring the boba/pearl they said its to maintain its softness and chewy goodness.

As I grabbed my share of the drinks, I was told by the barista that I need to shake it 15 times to feel the great taste of the drink, and I was curious and asked what if I shake it 20 times, will it taste even better? The crew smiled and said 15 is the recommended.

Upon shaking 15 times and taking my very first sip, it was really good. I can taste the brown sugar together with the very soft and chewy pearls. It was really good as the milk was able to blend in well to the taste. I have never tasted milk tea this good.

After I left, the line is still pretty long and people are still coming in to join the queue. This shows how popular Tiger Sugar really was even before they set foot in the Philippines.
