Beijing, China – February 21, 2021 – Redmi, a former sub-brand of Xiaomi with smartphones and smart home AIoTs ranging from entry-level to flagship, posted about Xiaomi Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro have OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, both smartphones have a flat-screen rather than a curve.
Prior to this post, Redmi teased the Redmi K40 Series displays. It is only now that they confirmed the specifications. To meet this ideal display, as expected, Xiaomi has called Samsung to supply panels for the Redmi K40 Series. The Chinese company sourced the same Samsung E4 panels that it uses in Mi 11. Likewise, Samsung equips the Galaxy S21 Ultra with its E4 display.
On top of these, the Redmi K40 Series have a punch hole on both screens. We don’t conclude if the Redmi K40 Pro has a pop-up camera since they did that in their pro versions for the last two series, the Redmi K20 Series and Redmi K30 Series.

Let me also add, that Digital Station also claimed that the Redmi K40 Pro may become the Redmi Note 10 Pro in global market. We don’t have anything to support this claim. However, we can get more details on its debut on March 4, 2021.

In addition, let me also emphasize that Xiaomi has a pattern of releasing multiple devices under the same model in different countries. So, we are baffled if the Indian Redmi Note 10 Pro will be the Redmi K40. That may be the case, but do not quote us on this. Don’t worry, we will keep you posted.
