The Capital City of Beijing, China – March 29, 2021 – Xiaomi, the third-largest smartphone manufacturer and the global leader of AIoT technology, launched the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G with Snapdragon 780G 5G and an LTE version.
The two came alongside the camera king, Mi 11 Ultra, and AIoT products like Mi Band 6. In Xiaomi’s claimed, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is the very first smartphone to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 780G 5G chip. On the other hand, its 4G version will pack a Snapdragon 732G chip.
The 5G version is said to be the most affordable 5G smartphone of Xiaomi in the global market. Its chip inside offers 7-series performance but with flagship-level connectivity. The CPU has a clock speed of 2.4GHz, which is somewhere between SD855 and SD865 in terms of performance. The GPU is Adreno 642. One of the differences between the two is that the 5G version has NFC, while the other one doesn’t have.
These two variants have a 4250mAh battery paired with a 33W fast charging through a USB Type-C port. At the bottom part, there is also a speaker along with earpiece-act-like stereo speakers.
Both variants only differ on the processor, but overall they are mirror-like. The camera placement looks the same as Mi 11. They only differ in actual modules. The main shooter is a 64MP shooter, while its ultrawide-angle snapper has 8MP, and lastly, its third cam has a 5MP macro shooter with autofocus between 3 and 7 cm.
Xiaomi puts a 16MP punch-hole selfie camera in front.
The company boasts the two Mi 11 Lites’ screen display. They have a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ resolution display. Xiaomi even added a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 10-bit color depth. Although the screen is OLED, the youngest in Fortune 500 decided to go with an under-display fingerprint scanner. We can find the scanner on the side, alongside the power key.
We are yet to heard from Xiaomi Philippines as when they will launch these two in the market.
