Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – July 15, 2022 – Xiaomi India appoints Muralikrishnan B as President of Xiaomi India – Effective August 1st. He served as a chief operating officer since 2018 and got elevated to secure the highest position of the country’s number 1 smartphone company.
According to the company’s official statement, the newly appointed president will be responsible for day-to-day operations, services, public affairs, and strategic projects, and will continue to work towards strengthening the company’s commitment to the Make in India and Digital India initiative. These themes were announced to help the development of the country in terms of the labor force and elevate its capita per GDP.
Just an FYI, Muralikrishnan is an alumnus of IIM-Calcutta and comes with over 25 years of experience in the Consumer Tech domain and has been instrumental brand’s growth across offline sales, service, operations, etc. Under his supervision, the company has witnessed strong growth across categories and has substantially scaled its organizational capabilities, and execution machinery, and built a solid foundation in the in-store retail segment.
Lastly, according to their statement, Xiaomi Indian will focus on reinforcing its commitment to the country and will continue to stay true to its core philosophy of delivering innovation for everyone. These changes will be in full effect by 1st August 2022.
